"Last Man on Moon" is my most ambitious music undertaking to date. Its also perhaps my swan song. The album is an 18-song journey that weaves throughout the last five years since I disappeared from relevance and the Los Angeles music scene. The frameworks of many of these songs have been with me for years, in fact the guitar progressions for "Forever" and "Dance with Me" have been with me for over 24 years, writing them and playing them over and over and over since I was 12 years old.
I've been doing music for a long time and "Last Man on Moon" is technically only the 2nd album I've ever released. All releases in between this and my debut "Identity" album, released in 2009, were either EPs or singles.
A little bit more about the inspiration behind "Last Man on Moon": Now in my mid-30s, the synopsis of the album is a reflection upon life’s crossroads. In a time of individuality, I find myself immersed in anonymity. I've reached a period in my life where I once envisioned, with absolute certainty, that I'd be spending my nights pouring my soul onstage for millions around the world. Well, that planet has left me. Left me standing on a desolate terrain, wondering, “Where did it all go?” Perhaps the most frightening aspect of it all, I've become a statistic. One of the countless, just like me, who thought they were different.
I worked very hard on this album (my wife can attest to that!). In fact, it took me over two years from start to finish. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did crafting it. Music has always been my first language. As such, I hope it speaks to you.
